Sony PSP2 Picture has Media Guessing
A new image of the PSP2 has hit the Internet with all the force of a true or maybe not true thing. So, until the real device is revealed on Thursday, let's all take a punt on the pic.

For its part, Kotaku states, "Granted, this could very well be another slick Photoshop (image)..."

CVG has a go with, "This supposed image comes ahead of an event later this week called the 'PlayStation Meeting' where, according to multiple reports, Sony is set to finally reveal the PSP2."

We're saying, "This image isn't officially from Sony... and it's definitely an image, not a supposed one."

Looks like a mockup made using at least part of the images of the PSP Phone. I doubt they'll put the analog sticks in such a crappy position given how prominent they are on the development hardware (pics of which are genuine).

Also, the touch screen (in the dev units) is capacitive multi-touch so I doubt it'll include a stylus, although I am aware that there are capacitive styli available out there.

The game media may prove to be Memory Stick, but if they are going to ship the games on a non-custom media format, why not just use the SD card since it's already got an SD card slot. I think it's more likely that the games will ship on a custom media type to help combat piracy.

@I_Call_BS agreed, it looks like 'Shop job, primarily because no unmodified human could use those analogue stick positioned where they are.

WRT the media type, I'd be surprised it wasn't at least MemoryStick branded, (give the company's desire to cling on to the outmoded and expensive storage), which could possibly be encrypted using Sony's MagicGate DRM thingy.
