 Gamestop taking 3DS Pre-Orders
US games retailer Gamestop is making preparations for the release of Nintendo's newest handheld, the 3DS, by taking pre-orders for the machine.

The retailer has opened pre-orders on its website as of Boxing Day. Various stores in the well-known American game chain are requiring varying amounts as an initial deposit with New York branches asking for up to a $50 deposit compared with Gamestop stores in Arizona asking for only $25.

An RRP for the handheld with 3D screens has yet to be determined and recent rumours suggest the device will be around the $300 mark. SPOnG previously reported that a press conference was due to be held on January 19th where it is hoped further details, including an RRP, will be confirmed.

Continue checking SPOnG for updates on the 3DS leading up to release. Also look forward to our impressions of the handheld when we get one nearer to its launch next Spring.
