Recent data from the games charts leading up to Christmas have shown that Sony and its leading console, the PS3, have experienced a bumper performance in the Top 10.
The charts, published by UK industry body UKIE/Chart-Track, show the combined sales of PS3 games in the All Prices and All Formats categories, outnumbering the sales of games sold on the 360 and Wii.
Titles such as CoD: Black Ops, FIFA 11 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood were among the high-performing multiformat titles.
Gran Turismo 5 has also aided sales of software and the PS3 with good performance since its release, taking the No.1 spot in the chart two weeks ago and holding onto the No.6 spot this week.
