The publisher of titles such as Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption, Take Two Interactive, has posted substantial profits for the financial year ending October 31st.The company has posted an increase in net revenue of 65% year-on-year to $1.16 billion and net profits to the end of October totalling $42.6 million. Some of the newest titles it attributed to the increase in both of these areas were
NBA 2K11,
Mafia II,
Red Dead Redemption,
Sid Meier's Civilization V,
Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete and
New Carnival Games.
Of particular interest is the number of copies Western-themed title
Red Dead Redemption has shipped to date with nearly 8m units of the title shipped worldwide.
