Black Ops Multiplayer Still Screwy

Connection issues still to be fixed

Black Ops Multiplayer Still Screwy
The ongoing issue with online multiplayer bedevilling Call of Duty: Black Ops players, continues to rear its head after the most recently released patch has failed to rectify connection problems.

PS3 owners of the title have continued to report problems with using the online portion of the game, some of which include failure to connect to online games and being kicked from matches whilst in play. Not only PS3 owners but Xbox 360 owners of the title have also raised their concerns.

CVG has reported that the official forums for CoD: Black Ops and the Playstation forums are alive with user comments claiming that the recent patch has done nothing to rectify the ongoing issues with online play.

Treyarch’s multiplayer lead designer David Vonderhaar tweetedthat a hotfix for the PS3 version was due for release soon that will hopefully alleviate Black Ops' ongoing issues.

Experienced any issues playing CoD: Black Ops online? Or have your multiplayer matches been mostly trouble-free? Any thoughts, feel free to post them down below.

We here at Treyarch would like to make a correction. The PS3 version of #BlackOps is actually for the PS2. Thank you.

Patch didn't work, but here's an easy fix to the connection problems.
1. Eject the Black Ops disk.
2. Check disk for any scratches or smudges.
3. Trade-in disk at any game supplier for Bad Company 2/Modern Warfare 2.
I'm getting a lot less problems now.

The patch actually made my MP experience worse. Didn't think that was possible. Haven't been able to play a full match without an issue since the patch and this is on a 20Mbps cable connection. Not to mention the ongoing framerate issues with maps like Firing Range and Jungle....

I actually went back to MW2 and had a lot of fun, but after playing Black ops I can see the areas that had been improved upon. If Black Ops had as consistent framerate/connection speeds as MW2 I think i'd probably like them about equally but so far for me its hard to complete a single game without a connection interuption kicking me out followed by 5 seconds after being in the lobby getting kicked. Very frustrating!

They made millions of $$$$ from these games, you would think they could spend a few and fix this problem. I spend 60 bucks on these games and expect them to work. Come on now

When I try to go into a player match it'll just search for 5 minutes and say there's an error. What the freak was Treyarch thinking giving this to the VERY well paying public.
