Sony has dropped hints that it plans to launch a mobile phone application for PlayStation Network users.
Responding to an email asking for "a mobile phone app for logging into the PSN to send messages and push demos and bought items to the PS3," SCEE representative Emmanuel Orssaud said that a post was planned on the official PlayStation Blog "which should answer your questions about the app."
He followed the response with a "wink" emoticon. That, right there, is a confirmation if we've ever seen one. *
Sony has been working on improving accessibility on the PlayStation 3's services as of late. Dedicated applications for ITV Player and 4oD were added this week, and the company transformed its official European PlayStation website on the console with a user-friendly design and Move support.
