It's a Mass Effect double-whammy announcement from EA today - after unleashing the full "Earth" trailer onto an innocent VGA audience on Saturday night, the publisher has revealed that the PS3 demo of Mass Effect 2 will be hitting PlayStation Network on the 22nd December.
On top of this, EA gave a rough estimate as to when we can all expect Mass Effect 3 to arrive - 'holiday' 2011. So Christmas, then.
You'd think that'd be all - but wait, here's BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka talking shop; "At BioWare, we are always driving ourselves to improve and I firmly believe our best work is still ahead of us. We could not be prouder of the team’s accomplishments with Mass Effect 2, and are excited and humbled by all of the recognition the game has received so far. We can’t wait to show you what the team is doing to make Mass Effect 3 an even bigger success."
Muzyka has likened Mass Effect 2 to George Lucas' Empire Strikes Back in the past - could we see the epic comeback of the human race in Mass Effect 3, akin to the win against evil in Return of the Jedi?
