Bit like how it does ESPN, but bigger.

Microsoft in Talks to Provide Online TV for Xbox 360
Microsoft has reportedly held talks with a number of TV networks to provide content for an online pay-TV service for the Xbox 360.

Reuters reports that the console could offer gamers the choice to subscribe to live TV over a network connection for a monthly fee. The possibility was raised for the Xbox 360 in particular to host more network-specific content silos in a similar fashion to how it currently offers ESPN shows today.

The move comes as Google and Apple have both launched set-top boxes for TV use in the United States. People apparently close to the discussions indicated that such a service would not be ready to launch for the Xbox 360 and various other Microsoft devices for another 12 months.

With Sky Player already available on the Xbox 360, would you want to see a fully-fledged TV station operate on your console? Let us know in the comments section below.

Nope.

Given that the Reuter's article mentions HBO and Showtime, I think its safe to say that this is US-centric, where Sky Player is not available and thusly irrelevant.
