Microsoft's Xbox 360 is currently the best-selling home console of 2010, according to data from US sales tracker NPD. It has sold 3.5 million units to date this year, outperforming the PS3 and Wii and becoming the only console to enjoy annual growth.
October 2010 sales figures revealed Microsoft's platform sold 315k units for the month - a 34 per cent increase on the same time in 2009.
It's the only piece of good news in the NPD report, however, with the US hardware market down 26 per cent year-on-year. For October, the video games market in the region was worth $1.07bn, a four per cent decline on 2009's numbers.
