PS3 Jailbreak Maker Attempts to "Convice Youtube Plebs"
The apparently impregnable PS3 has, apparently been pregged. By this we mean that there is a report stating that it's finally been hacked to enable play of 'backed-up games' without discs.

This would obviously provide potential for torrented titles of a highly illegal nature. However, Engadget reports that:

"A USB modchip for the PS3 has emerged from the mists this morning, purporting to allow the dumping of games onto nearby storage -- the console's internal HDD and external drives are both a-ok -- as well as the subsequent playing of said games without the need for the original disc."

The system is called 'PS Jailbreak' and is apparently capable of 'backing-up' games on both the older PS3 Fat and the newer PS3 Slim retail consoles.

Sceptics pointed out that the PS3 in question was a debug unit, which comes with the ability to install packaged files - review software provided either on disc or via FTP for testing. See the original video below.

The First Video

This is turn lead to the makers of the mod-stick and software to post the following video, in which they seek to 'convince the Youtube plebs' of the validity of their product.

The You Plebs Video

Frankly, we're leaving it well alone on our retail, debug and personal PS3s units.

Finally, the ps3 jailbreak comes real. People who support Sony will still use the original disc. Some people like me want to enjoy the convenience and the flexibility of the new stuff, will try it. I ain't worry Sony will block those users. I think there will be new fireware to fix the problem.
I got an email from an online store. They have this thing. I'm considering to order. http://www.gadget-asia.com/en/home/world-s-first-ps3-modchip-ps-jailbreak-plug-and-play.html
