If you don't shop around, Xbox Live Gold memberships currently cost about £40 a year. Yesterday, Microsoft announced a new price range to the subscription fee that would allow families to easily afford a group of Xbox Live Gold accounts. It's imaginatively called the Xbox Live Gold Family Pack.
For the sum of £69.99, you can grab a bundle of four individual Xbox Live Gold memberships, with the ability for a primary account holder to divvy out various online permissions and dispense Microsoft Points to other members. A Family Centre menu also offers a place for Family Settings and other account management.
You can also get exclusive family discounts and offers for signing up to the service too, which is nice.
This announcement follows Microsoft's recent marketing campaign to capture the mainstream audience, including families, with its Kinect motion sensing device at E3.
The Xbox Live Gold Family Pack will be available from November.
