The Xbox 360 Slim looks lovely and black and slim... and sounds whisper quiet. So the old, loud, rubbish Xbox 360 is now sitting in the corner of stores looking for love. Microsoft confirming that it's lopping $50 off the old unit might encourage purchasers who haven't heard the Slim news. The UK launch of the Slim on July 16th, a month behind the USA, however leaves Microsoft in Europe and its retail partners in a sticky situation. Does the platform holder announce price cuts in this territory in order to shift unwanted older stock, but support retail? Or does it maintain its price point, muffle publicity for Xbox Slim and maintain relationships with its retail partners?
Will you be waiting for July 16th to purchase an Xbox Slim? Tell us in the comments.
