It's a record, surely! While explaining that Black Ops will have no co-op in single-player, Mark Lamia, the studio head of Treyarch has managed to use nearly every game marketing cliché in the book. Lamia told
Russ Frushtick, "Single-player is the
epic, cinematic, seat-of-your-pants thrill ride that you star in."
And he didn't stop there, "Then there's multiplayer, when you want to play competitive with your friends and really chisel and hone your skills and do that
addictive experience."
But there's more! "And then co-op is for when you want to have a blast with your friends, just sitting on the couch and having an
awesome co-op experience. We're crafting unique co-op modes around that experience, but it is different than what people think."
Phew, good job. So, will there be Spec Ops (as per
MW2?) there will but there won't, "it is different than Spec Ops", Lamia told Frushtick.
