Enigmatic comments made by Joker voice actor, Mark Hamill, suggest that the days of his character are numbered in the Arkham Asylum games following the series' second outing.Speaking to
IGN, the actor said of
Arkham Asylum 2, "This will be my last, there's no question about that. But it's the last hurrah."
He could, of course, just be talking about his own involvement. Considering that in the same interview he also makes a big point of how protective he is over the role of The Joker, however, that seems unlikely. So... is The Joker going to die?
Well, it's seriously unlikely that Warner Bros. is writing off the possibility of a third game, so... maybe. But in the world of super-heroics, death is rarely more than a passing affliction.
Talking about the first
Arkham Asylum, Hamill also through some big numbers about. "That game, which is pretty much the last product I had on the marketplace, did something like $562m. I mean, we're talking about more than a half billion dollars." That's something in the region of 9-10m copies sold, assuming he's not talking about profit and depending on how many copies were sold at full price.
