Xbox 360 USB Storage Support Live Today - Details
Microsoft has rolled out its mandatory Xbox 360 update today, which adds USB data storage support. Now you can save your games and other media onto an external hard drive or memory stick. Bonus!

Xbox Live's Major Nelson (aka Larry Hryb) announced the system update today on his blog, stating that "Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update.

"If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments."

There's a FAQ if you get stuck, which also includes a nice picture of the Xbox branded SanDisk USB Flash Drive. That's not on sale yet, just so you know, but you probably have a hundred other USB sticks to use instead, right?

All Xbox 360 needs now is an internet browser, and it will be what I call the perfect system.

And Linux support, apparently.
