Xbox 360 spokesman, Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb, recently had his Xbox Live profile hacked - and the person claiming to be the culprit is offering to 'jack' other people's Gamertags for $60.
The Director of Programming for the Xbox Live network - known online as Major Nelson - had his account subjected to profile modifications and friends list snooping. The owner of the website lightzz.com has posted a video of the hack in action, which you can see below (littered with profanities though, so watch out).
Hryb told Kotaku that he has regained control of his Gamertag, and that Microsoft's security team is looking into the matter.
Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox Live, Stephen Toulouse, wrote on Twitter that the attack was "very specific and very targeted to Major." He is looking into the matter further.
I'm not sure what makes this more offensive. The fact that this arrogant piece of **** thought it was their right to hack someone else's account or that he narrated it in 'Gangsta' speak. I'm glad that he's developed such extensive IT skills whilst in 'tha hood'; what a shame that he won't get the opportunity to make the use of them in a professional capacity.
