Unnamed, Unpriced, Undated PS3 Motion Controller is 'De Facto'
In a fit of almost releasing some information, Sony has announced that it "will release its new Motion Controller (tentative name) for the PS3" in "fall 2010 in Japan, Asian regions and countries, North America and Europe/PAL territories together with an extensive line-up of exciting software titles".

So, in terms of actual information, Sony has also mentioned:

Actual price? No.
Actual release date? No.
Actual name? No.

What has it mentioned? Well, it's provided a quote from Kaz Hirai (President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment), "We have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users."

There is more generic waffle before we reach, "SCE will vigorously promote the Motion Controller as the de facto controller of the PS3 platform along with the DUALSHOCK series..."

The use of the Latin phrase "de facto" obviously means something desperately important and not "to compete with Microsoft's Natal before it's too late". Actually, it means, "Actual" or "Exercising power or serving a function without being legally or officially established."

We await actual information.

Surprise, surprise, Sony's delayed another thing. Doesn't seem like they care about us, I happen to own Sony-only consoles, but it's time they should stop saying stuff like "it will be out soon", and keep their mouths shut until they know an exact release date.
