Just last month, we wrote our hands-on impressions with upcoming Bioware MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. But now it looks like we won't be seeing its release until Spring 2011, if we're to believe conclusions drawn from an EA conference call.CEO John Riccitiello (hopefully after having had some sleep over the holiday season) fielded questions from investors and said that the company's 'next major MMO' is making great progress towards a Spring 2011 launch.
With Realtime World's
APB (being distributed by EA) due to hit in March 2010 (a fact Svend SPOnG's only just realised - there are way too many games coming out this year), and no other internally-developed online RPGs in the making, that leaves only one possibility the
Star Wars game.
Still, Bioware isn't a developer to rush a project, so this was hardly unexpected. Just be safe in the knowledge that there's a window for
The Old Republic's release, budding Jedi/Sith warriors.
