PlayStation Home Gets TV Show - Not Big Brother
Yeah, alright, so PlayStation Home hasn't exactly set the world alight. But over the last few weeks, Sony has tried to make things better, and over Christmas it apparently slipped a new feature called 'Home TV' right by unsuspecting avatars.

Viewable within in the Theatre, Home TV is a video show that aims to keep users up to date on the latest Home happenings. The programme is hosted by Perry Flynn and invites PSN wanderers to share photos, news and information from events and gatherings that take place in the virtual space.

Alongside official events and updates to the service, if you make them aware of any Home parties that you are hosting yourself, you can inform them so they can video it and feature it in an upcoming episode. Perhaps we can get a Cabbage Patch dance world record in someone's Bat Cave or something?

You can contact hometv@scee.net to get noticed by the show. We'll just stick to creeping people out dressed like Ryu, though.

Isn't is strange how "PlayStation Home hasn't exactly set the world alight" but the almost infinitely worse Second Life could barely fart or pick it's (pointy, low poly, badly textured) nose without all the World's newspapers and TV stations going into apoplexy?

Just shows how it pays dividends to have (objective, serious) news agency Reuters as one of your major investors. Even if your application is a huge steaming turd that almost everyone has already forgotten.

The recent Sodium zone is a super example of something worthwhile in Home. Stopped me playing MW2 for a couple of night, it did. Maybe a good games vid show in the theater would be dcool though I guess there wouldn't be much non-ps3/p news
