As it opens up two new spaces in PlayStation Home, Sony has said that the service now has 10 million users. It's odd, given that just a week or so ago Sony said it had nine million.Speaking on the
HipHopGamerShow Jack Buser, Director of Home for SCEA, said "worldwide, we got nine million people in here". That show was posted on December 13th. The press release from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, dated today, refers to "all of the 10 million users".
Either Sony's seen a massive uptake on Home in the last week, someone had old figures, or there's a discrepancy between what Mr Buser and what SCEE consider to be a 'user'...
Anyway, the new spaces are for
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and
Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time and a
MotorStorm space is on the way.
UPDATE: Sony has explained the discrepancy in the figures, telling SPOnG: "These are the latest figures (stating 10m). Until we're ready to announce a new milestone we stick to the old figures." Clear? We thought not.
