Play Modern Warfare 2 for Peace

War Child organisation gets it on with MW2

How easy it would be to take the cynical view on this one. So, we're not going to. Basically, Activision has teamed up with the War Child charity to enable you to play Modern Warfare 2 online and while shooting the hell out of people in a virtual war, contribute to saving children in a real one.

"The money raised from 'Game For Good' will directly help War Child to help thousands of kids rebuild their lives - rebuilding schools destroyed by war, reintegrating child soldiers with their families and getting children off the streets after war has forced them to leave home", sounds like a really good reason to get online.

So, for UK residents, get your trigger fingers ready to play between midnight on Saturday December 5th to a minute to midnight the next day. The more people who play online on Xbox Live during this period, the more money Activision will donate to War Child.

More details over on the Game for Good Facebook page or by clicking on the image in this story. We'd like you to do the latter but we'd recommend showing your support for the cause by doing the former.
