Myamoto: Hints at More Star Fox
Shigeru Miyamoto is sad that - in Japan at least - the love for Star Fox has diminished. That said, he's also pointed out that, "But we still try to make them more fun and hopefully people will see the appeal in those games."

He told Russ Frushtick that, "I'm a big fan of the Star Fox games. Every time we make a Star Fox game I'm hoping people will enjoy it as much as I do.

"Of course the goal every time is to try and make it more and more fun but, at least in Japan, the people that purchase the Star Fox games has decreased over the years. But we still try to make them more fun and hopefully people will see the appeal in those games."

Fingers crossed.

That's because, Miyamoto, you farmed the last couple of ones off to Namco, Rare (or at least the license) and all sorts of other third/second party tripe. People want a new Starfox 64, not a new Starfox Armada.

I agree. Also, part of the reason I didn't buy it was because it came out too late in the GC's lifecycle, when I wasn't playing my GC much anymore (Excluding Twighlight Princess only).

They're not treating it as one of their main franchises anymore, so neither are the players.

Totally agree guys. Its a real shame that Nintendo are no longer about creating strong character based IP, as much as they used to be. All we get now are Mario, Metroid and Zelda (Wii Fit cough cough), when Nintendo is about so much more.

I'd love to see more Star Fox, but don't farm it out other developers that haven't got a clue. Even Wii should have already had a Star Fox game, but so much focus on casual stuff has killed that.
