360 Social Networking Gets Closed Beta This Month

Facebook, Twitter and Last.FM integration on the Xbox 360 are just around the metaphorical corner, with a public beta of the three services launching later this month.
MTV's Multiplayer blog got a chance to see the latest developments behind closed doors, which apparently doesn't stray too far from the features touted in Microsoft's E3 press conference this year. The public beta will be offered to "certain members of the Xbox community", along with various members of the press. Such a beta is said to arrive "middle-towards-end of October", according to a Microsoft rep.
Microsoft recently released an Xbox 360 Dashboard update that did nothing but simply prepare for this functionality. Seems like progress is moving along faster than we thought.
