Today's announcement of price cut and rise across the Xbox 360 range came with some footnotes:
'Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will be required for Twitter and Facebook when they are available, and is required for Netflix. Games, media content and Netflix membership are sold separately; a hard drive is required for storage.
"Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will be required for Last.fm and LIVE Party."
The first bit caused some amount of outrage and has meant Microsoft has had to tell
MCV, that the line was "incorrect". The company is apparently "still formulating its plans” for Xbox 360’s upcoming social network integration."
Let's see if it reconsiders popping in an
HDMI cable, and a wireless router as well.
