Tokyo Game Show PS3 Price Cut and Slim?

Did Kotick know in advance?

Tokyo Game Show PS3 Price Cut and Slim?
UK-based mag, PlayStation World (PSW Magazine) apparently has the skinny not only on the PlayStation Slim (not a fake) but also on a price cut for the PS3...

"The PS3 Slim Packaging looks almost identical to the confirmed PSP Go, so it isn't a fake. Expect the smaller, lighter PS3 to be announced at the Tokyo Games Show in September, just in time for Xmas...

"Expect the long-awaited price chop to be announced at the Tokyo Games Show"

Now, we've not seen this report, we've only seen second-hand quotes. So this remains majorly rumoured in source and meaning.

If true - and one reported quote from one magazine does not make it so - then maybe Activision Blizzard's CEO, Bobby Kotick, has played a neat power game by appearing to force Sony into cutting the price of its flagship console.

Remember that this is an enormously vast "IF".

I've been saying for weeks, even before E3, that the drop would most likely happen at TGS. E3 is not the venue for it, and there wasn't any blockbuster titles available at that time, to drive momentum into the holidays. Sony dropped the price on the PS3 when MGS4, and it left them in a bad spot come holidays, because they couldn't follow suit with the competition.
