Konami has confirmed that
Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which
made a big impression at Microsoft's E3 2009 press conference, will be multi-platform, not an Xbox 360 exclusive.
The second press release Konami has released to 'announce' the game confirms
earlier reports that the game is, in fact, bound for more than one platform. It will hit the 360, PS3 and PC.
The release will not even be a timed exclusive for any of the systems - Konami states that the game will be launched simultaneously across all platforms, a first for the series.
Time for some corporate fluff: "The
Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the bar with its cinematic visuals and entertaining story line”, commented Martin Schneider, European marketing director for Konami. “Now even more gamers can immerse themselves in the franchise and experience the groundbreaking series as
Metal Gear Solid: Rising heads to the platform of their choice.” Konami's helpful like that.
The game stars Raiden, who's previously appeared in
MGS2 and
4.
