"Microsoft Corp. is developing a new videocamera for the Xbox 360 console that will allow players to control games with the movement of their bodies, people familiar with the matter said..." a blog post? A post from the Pre-E3 Rumour Rotisserie? No, an actual post from the actual
Wall Street Journal.
Just in case you've been hidden somewhere such as a cellar since 1889 when the paper was founded, the
WSJ is aimed at people who have some sway over the stock prices of companies. So, when it says, "Unlike the Wii, the Microsoft camera won't require users to hold any hardware to control on-screen action, the people familiar with the matter said. The camera would sit near the television and capture when players move their hands, legs or head", those people read and believe.
Then again, the same paper says, "A spokesman for the Redmond, Wash., company declined to comment". Still, not a bad idea to get a story about a Wii-competing device into one of the most prestigious organs in the world, just prior to a major expo.
