A new demo is available for everybody (in SPOnG's) favourite madcap, North Country-developed, violent and involving vehicle racing game set on a fictitious island -
Motor Storm Pacific Rift - is available on PSN... now.
We are told that: "The demo features races on the infamous Razorback track, chosen by the veterans from MotorStorm.com forums as their favourite from the 16 circuits found across the island."
We're not entirely sure why Razorback is any more of less infamous than any other track in the game - or who it's infamous to - but that's PR talk for you.
In terms of detail - and aside from what you
normally get in the game - you get:
- Single player and two-player split screen.
- 12 AI opponents in split-screen.
- "Festival style" music including tracks from Ministry, Leftfield and the The Qemists.
- Three different classes of vehicle - bike, buggy, and Monster truck.
- New cool down areas for more boosting.
Again, we're not sure what 'Festival-style' music is as opposed to, for example, 'Sitting with your personal music playing option in a field on your own-style music' but what the hey, it's a new demo!
