Microsoft has released an update aimed at fixing issues relating to audio output through HDMI on the Xbox 360.
Microsoft's Major Nelson reports that, "Starting Tuesday morning at 0200 Pacific (10am UK time) when you sign into Xbox Live you’ll be prompted for a mandatory dashboard update. The update addresses the issue that a few folks were having with audio and their HDMI connection."
The Major further states, "This update will be rolled out to all Xbox LIVE members around the world over the space of a few hours, so you may not get prompted for the update immediately."
Having fired up our 360, however, SPOnG can report that we downloaded the update without a hitch.
