PlayStation Europe Website Tied to PSN
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has followed in the footsteps of its American cousin. Users can now log in to the official European PlayStation website using their PSN ID.

A statement from Sony tells us - “From November 27, 2008 all user accounts at eu.playstation have been updated with new features.

"By combining these with PlayStation Network accounts, you can update your email preferences, register your console and enter prize draws.

“Sign in and go to the My PSN page in the PlayStation Network section to see which of your friends are online, create an official Portable ID to show your friends your favourite games, and take part in events to suit all tastes by checking out the Events Calendar.”

SPOnG can confirm it all works. So there you have it!

Really? Wow! I know Sony has dabbled with open source with Collada and the like, but I didn't know they'd joined the party and made the PSN APIs open to rival platforms. Amazing!

Pretty hard to log in to a website at all on a console without a browser, never mind a competitor's website.

Yeh, first sentence of the damn article (and subtitle) said enough, your bleating on the subject falls firmly under "Unnecessary"
