PlayStation Network Down Today: LBP Ahoy!
A day before history is to be made (well, at least that's what Sony hopes - you didn't think we were talking about the downfall of W by Senator Obama did you?) and LittleBigPlanet releases in its home country, Sony is taking the PlayStation Network down for maintenance.

According to the European PlayStation forum:

"The PlayStation Network will be unavailable between 16:00 GMT and
18:00 GMT on 4th nov due to maintenance."

Two hours out of your PlayStation Network life... that'll give you the chance to watch Senator McCain running around the place telling everybody that he's Truman.

I saw this game being played and I am shocked at how stupid it is, this sort of game would have to appeal to a 5yo or something with the brain of one.

Ive never used the Ignore button on Eurogamer but if Spong had one, Id use it on you SuperSaiyan4. I now associate your name with comedy drivel you post on here. Actually scrap that your, Id miss the comedy!

Id reserve SHOCK for something more important than something you deem stupid. i await your next comedy comment with baited breath.

What I don't get is this title isn't even a game its like lego you put the pieces together and just mess around, no story nothing.

Spong what about news on Gears of war 2? There is content on the Xbox 360 marketplace about the celebs and stuff like with the Halo 3 event yet you put up news on this???

FUN? I'm a fairly placid chap but seriously, you make my blood boil sometimes, you are without question in my mind, an utter moron!

It isn't that I have different tastes in games than you, I love my 360 too, but your attitude to anything that you don't like is pathetic - LBP is receiving high scores from reviewers around the world, yet you manage to vomit sentences out about the game "being" terrible... note the quotes here, it isn't that you tell the Spong world that you don't like the the game, that you "think" it is rubbish, you actually tell us that the game "IS" rubbish, almost as if you believe we should trust you.

I've just wasted 5 minutes of my life typing this... jesus, it's like I'm validating your existence :(

I know one should not feed the troll. However, here we go. SS4 me old matey, I am waaaay, waaaaay older than 5 and I have just gone out and paid for a copy of LBP with my very own cash. I say this because I want to own it because it is a marvellous achievement - so much so that even an old stager like me can see the potential for it to encourage more people to start thinking about actually making games.

This in turn may lead to more people making games. This in turn could lead to new and interesting titles being produced rather than the same old dross, tie-ins, sequels, post-apocalyptic dystopian blah blah blah blah blah.

Also it's fun. FUN!

Cheers

Strikes me as all protestant work ethic that one... can't people have fun playing 'hardcore' games?

Surely ActivBlizzard?

Then does that make:

the Wii = alchoPops.

PS3 = vodka and a cola-based beverage?

Cheers

You're getting the picture! I wonder what resolution pictures you get? Mine tends to get blurry at first but after take two, examening what went wrong the first time, it gets a lot better

As I say, I paid my own cash (some of which was going to go on a trip back to Australia to get out of this s**tty weather) for it. Played some last night. Shouldn't play any tonight as I have 'important' things to do...

My only worry is that I will realise that I actually lack any imagination and will just create blobby things with crocodile snappers attached in a sort of nightmarish Henry Moore vs Francis Bacon vs B Movie Croc scene.

Yes, if anything is going to depress me more than the fact that I've got no Jamesons left at home nor budget to buy any, it will be Sackboy telling me I have no bloody imagination.

Cheers
