Nintendo's Fils-Aime Heralds First Wii Xmas Shortage Hint
Remember last Xmas (or 'the holidays') when fear gripped the UK and that fear was that you could not get your aunty's hands on a Wii for love nor money?

Nintendo of America's president, Reggie Fils-Aime even went as far as to tell analysts that in terms of supply for the season, "When will we finally meet demand? There is no way to answer that question until we finally meet it."

So, US chain, Gamestop issued a 'raincheck' campaign whereby you could reserve a Wii in December at its regular price for delivery in January? Remember that too?

Do you also remember that in January - following the fear and the rainchecks - that Nintendo declared that it has sold record numbers and 'pwned' (our words) all-comers?

Well, it's that time of year again kids. Mr Fils-Aime has been speaking to the LA Times and has said, "Once you see it on the shelf, you ought to buy it. While we're bringing 50% higher level of supply into the market this holiday, we don't know if the demand will be even higher than that."

After a year.. a whole year...

We've contacted Nintendo in the UK to see if the "if you see one now, buy it" is sage buying advice for us, or simply a darned fine marketing 'call to action'.
