After three players broke their arms while wrestling with Japanese arcade machine Arm Spirit (pictured), manufacturer Atlus has been forced to remove all 150 of the machines from public arcades in Japan.

Atlus spokeswoman Ayano Sakiyama called the recall "a precaution” and said on the matter: "The machine isn't that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it."

Just imagine having your arm broken by a machine and then being told this by what SPOnG imagines to be a small, petite Japanese lady! The shame!

"We think that maybe some players get overexcited and twist their arms in an unnatural way,'' Sakiyama, added.

Arm Spirit involves advancing through 10 levels, battling a French maid, drunken martial arts master and a Chihuahua before reaching the final showdown with a professional wrestler.

Atlus currently has no plans to ship Arm Spirit outside of Japan. Phew!

Wow, I feel sorry for those affected by the machines. It really must be a tough break for them.
