It's a double-header on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow, with Pinball FX and Eets: Chowdown set to hit your living room.
Pinball FX from Zen Studios sounds particularly promising. It features everything you'd expect from a pinball game (a table, a ball, that sort of thing) with a colourful next-gen sheen. What caught SPOnG's eye, however, is that as well as using the Xbox controller, players can also use the Xbox Live Vision Camera to control the flippers. We're not sure if it all sounds a bit zen (“be the table”) or just plain dangerous for your Mum's carefully displayed fine china.
Also up for grabs tomorrow morning is Eets: Chowdown from Klei Entertainment. It's based on the PC shareware title of the same name and makes its console debut on Xbox Live. It's a humdinger to explain, but here goes. To start with, imagine the designers of Lemmings had been taking illicit substances. Now imagine that the Lemmings had emotions and were super greedy, and you're getting there.
You'll need to guide Eets through Prankster Whales, nasty Marshomechs and Radioactive Ginseng over 120 new levels to help the little guy get a feed. Also added for the 360 version is 'Marsho Madness,' a co-op action mini game.
Both games will be available from 9am tomorrow for 800 Microsoft Points a piece.
Pinball. Yay!
