At last Sony gets it right! Somehow it’s managed to get an invite to one of the parties of the year (the year being 1972) with its PlayStation 3† sponsoring the event.
This year’s ‘Playboy - Eighth Annual Super Saturday Night Party’ will be held at the American Airlines Arena on Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the lead up to the American football (trans: rugby with helmets) Super Bowl. The party is entitled ‘P.M.: Playboy Miami After Dark’.
Along with 30 Playboy Bedtime Bunnies, according to Playboy,”Partygoers will have a chance to challenge Playboy Playmates to a selection of PlayStation3 games".
And if that wasn’t enough, “Partygoers' sexiest dreams will come to life with after dark surprises that include a seductive aerialist, a stargazing lounge, midnight munchies, a bedtime story area filled with pillow-fighting models, a stiletto seduction bar, and more.”
Well then, SPOnG wonders if the newly relaunched Penthouse will be throwing a similar party with PS3 sponsorship in the lead up to the FA Cup Final… early in May.

They were at the "FOURTH Annual Super Saturday Night Party" - "PlayStation 2 will have interactive kiosks and popular titles available for gameplay, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the excitement of PlayStation 2. In addition, Playboy Playmates will be challenging partygoers to contests on PlayStation 2 to benefit the charity, Athletes Helping Kids."
The "Somehow" is explained by the huge wodge of marketing cash they stump up to be "exclusive gaming sponsor".

What an odd thing to do, especially after news of Sony and/or partners refusing to put porn on Blu Ray, and possibly putting losing themselves the battle with HD-DVD.
