Miyamoto to Speak at GDC
It has just been announced that the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto will give a talk at this year's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. This will be the Nintendo developer's first keynote since 1999.

The talk will take place on March 8 and is titled "A Creative Vision". The rare public appearance will be Miyamoto's first major talk since the release of the Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wii Sports, all of which he worked on.

Speaking on the coup for GDC, Jamil Moledina, the conference's executive director, said:

"The Game Developers Conference is a place for developers to learn from one another, and I think it is safe to say that every member of the community has at one time or another fantasized about having Shigeru Miyamoto as a mentor and teacher," said Jamil Moledina, Executive Director of the GDC. "By guiding us through his creative vision with a keynote at this year's GDC, Miyamoto is allowing all attendees this incomparable privilege."

Miyamoto's considerable list of triumphs includes the creation of Donkey Kong, the fathering of Mario, developing the Legend of Zelda series, being one of the first videogame creators to be knighted in France's Order of Arts and Letters and, just last week, dying and coming back to life. His next upcoming game is the hotly-anticipated Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii.

Note: Miyamoto didn't really die. Someone just thought it'd be a good idea to report it on RPGamer.com. The report was completely inaccurate. Whilst gamers may have a tendency to worship the ground Miyamoto walks on, as far as SPOnG's aware, resurrection isn't a talent he can lay claim to.

That's a lot of interesting people who have their own keynote at GDC this year.
