Two of the biggest players in the Video game industry, Sega and Namco have stated that they intend to continue their working relationship. The first game from the two companies is Vampire Night, which will be released in Japanese arcades this March. Vampire Night will be a lightgun-based shooting game similar to House of the Dead. The game will have six stages incorporating themes of fire, snow and darkness. It is more than likely that Vampire Night will be released on the PlayStation 2 later this year.

The good news is that this will not be the only collaboration by the two software giants. There are no specific details yet, but news of new Arcade and PlayStation 2 projects are encouraging. Daytona USA Revolution or Virtua Fighter vs. Tekken Tag, anyone? The future looks bright, Sega’s multi-platform strategy could be the best decision they ever made.
