Namco Guncon for PlayStation 2
Namco have finally begun development of a PlayStation 2 Guncon to replace the existing PlayStation peripheral.
The new gun is to have support for HD-TV. Namco will hopefully improve the calibration settings for the new Guncon, the existing peripheral proved to be inaccurate when not precisely calibrated.
The release of this peripheral suggests that a Namco arcade game is on its way, most likely Time Crisis 2 or Point Blank. The Playstation One Guncon was released as a package with Time Crisis. It is also possible that Sega will produce a House of the Dead title following the announcement that the company will develop for PlayStation 2. Guncon2 will be available by autumn this year in Japan. But a European release is likely to coincide with the first available game for the device.
