Vivendi has just sent over the first details on the PSP version of Scarface as well as confirming that the game will not be making it to Xbox 360.
This follows from the news last week
that THQ has decided to pull the Xbox 360 version of The Sopranos.Back to over-glamourised Cuban coke-addled mobsters, and the PSP version of the game is to be called Scarface: Money. Power. Respect., and is a totally different game to the home console version, Scarface: The World Is Yours, which is set after the events of the original film.
The PSP game allows gamers to relive Tony Montana’s rise to the top of the drug-fuelled gangland of 1983 Miami as bloodily portrayed in the movie. The handheld title is being developed by FarSight Studios and is described as a turn-based strategy with real-time combat. Playing as Tony Montana, your goal is to battle and defeat competing drug cartels and conquer Miami turf-by-turf, in order to become Kingpin of the city.
Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. on PSP and Scarface: The World Is Yours on PS2, Xbox and PC are both due for release this autumn. Watch this space for more news on both.
