Summary

Are you ready, you cock-a-roaches? Scarface: The World is Yours will take players deep into the seedy underbelly of 1980s Miami as the ultimate gangster Tony Montana. Al Pacino has lent his likeness to the game to ensure it delivers the essence and soul of the Scarface movie. We hope EA take note after the disappointment of The Godfather (a game with no Michael Corleone, Pacino's character in the film). At the start of the game, players must re-enact the mansion shoot-out from the film, the one where Montana shouts the immortal line, "Say hello to my little friend!" before being blown to bits. But in Sierra's Scarface: The World is Yours, Tony survives.

After the shoot-out, Tony is left with nothing. Gamers must rebuild Mr. Montana's fallen empire and exact revenge on his many enemies, top of the list being Alejandro Sosa, the Colombian cocaine baron who ordered Tony's (failed) execution. The game lets you shoot, beat and run over your enemies with Tony's signature style and flair. To reclaim his former position, gamers must do plenty of wheeling and dealing. It is important to remember that in order to gain revenge you need money - large amounts of it. This can be made by smuggling drugs, carrying out hits and extorting money from businesses. Don't worry too much about the DEA: when the money starts coming in, you can hire henchmen to do Tony's dirty work.

Scarface: The World is Yours offers gamers a fully-rendered 3D Miami and the islands, an authentic recreation of the period in which the film is set (the early 1980s). The city and the surrounding area is open plan a la Grand Theft Auto, and full to the brim with excess, violence and greed for Tony to exploit. It is also possible to mix your own soundtrack - gamers can select music from the period, or choose from a playlist which includes various contemporary artists.

The event-driven storyline of Scarface: The World is Yours has been written by highly acclaimed feature screenwriter David McKenna who also wrote the movies Blow and American History X.
