The game that has been described as the PlayStation 2’s killer app, Gran Turismo 3: A Spec, has hit another pothole in the shape of another Japanese delay. The title has slipped from April 1st to April 25th and there has still been no mention of a European release date.
Back when it was called Gran Turismo 2000, GT3 was shown in playable form with force feedback support at the European Computer Trade Show in London, and it was assumed that the title was nearing completion and would be ready for a release before Christmas 2000. Unfortunately this has not been the case and still there is no reason forthcoming from Sony as to why. Gran Turismo 3: A Spec does have some new features including an enhanced rally mode and wet courses, but as a whole the title is not as complete a game as its 32-Bit predecessor.
Hurry up Polyphony, the world needs more Gran Turismo!
