Summary

Grand Theft Auto for the Game Boy Color is a controversial game designed with the older gamer in mind. The content would probably rest better with those of us who are less impressionable, as GTA is about car-jacking and working for the mob. If you are comfortable with adult language and themes such as drug-running or blowing up police stations, then GTA is in a league of it’s own. The GBC version plays quite well considering the limitations the console. It takes a bit of time to learn the layouts of the cities as they are on the large side. Luckily, you get an indicator arrow pointing you roughly in the direction you need to go to complete your mission. The way GTA works is that you answer payphones to receive instructions from Mr Big. Then, if you are successful in your task, money and respect is your reward. Make enough money, and you can try to conquer a different city. One example of a task given by Mr Big would be stealing two taxi cabs and taking them to the docks for a paintjob.

GTA is an addictive and tricky game with a non-linear mission structure. Mature gamers, enjoy.
