wow... there is so much wrong there... were to start...

WARNING:rampant Fanboyism to follow!

Best Game:
no halo2... i can deal with that... i thought it could get a nomination... but i can let that slide

New Studio:
i dont even understand the category... NAMCO? are they a new studio... ID?
whatever

also:
Cryptic Studios (City of Heroes) - Michael Lewis
Doom 3 (id Software / Activision) - Christian Antkow, John Carmack, Tim Willits

are we having a format issue here or something? are we nominating games or studios?

Character Design:
Sly cooper... a sequel... with the same charcters as the first one... seems odd to me... Also i am suprised at no HALO2... atleast the characters in halo2 look significantly different than the halo1 characters did... i wouldnt mind so much if it wherent for the inclusion fo the god awfull angstified PoP2...christ!

Game Design:
no complaints

Technology:
no complaints

Visual Arts:
what is with muther F@cking Prince of Persia! it looks so bad!

writing:
is san andreas' story really that good? i havent played it, but my previosu GTA experiences don't lead me to believe it would be award worthy... also i havent played a leisure suit larry game since 96, but again... it just doesnt seem like the kind of game with especially good writing. didnt soem finaly fanatasy somethin or other come out last year... or one of them cooky xenothingies? dont they usualy have crazy complex epic stories? I know that doesnt necesarily equal good writing but.. reallly... leisure suit larry?

anyway... aside from the over inclusion of PoP and the under inclusion of halo2 it could have been worse... spike tv video game awards anyone?

another valid point... im not a metroid fan but i know its a good game and alot fo people really liked it. the whole thing seems a little skewed... no gaiden or riddick in there either... or fable... which probably doenst really desrve any awards but almost every other award giving group int he world atleast nominated it somewhere.
