Yu Suzuki, the man who single-handedly invented 3D gaming as it exists in its present form, as well as being the godfather of a huge amount of gaming genres, will take a place in the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
Suzuki will receive the award at this year’s DICE summit, due to take place in Las Vegas on February 27.
“I am greatly honoured to receive the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame award," said Suzuki, probably as he climbed into one of his Ferraris. "I am pleased to be highly commended by the AIAS as a Hall of Fame inductee along with many industry visionaries.”
We think that the great man is greatly relieved, having suffered a year of jealousy at the fact that Miyamoto was included already.
