We've already reported that Google is going to be launching its own Android powered game console and this is now more likely with the mega-corps' latest purchase.Google has in fact bought 'elements' of game controller maker Green Throttle Games for an undisclosed lump of money. We assume these 'elements' are the IP rights.
The BBC reports that, "Joining Google from Green Throttle Games will be co-founders Matt Crowley and Karl Townsend. Mr Townsend was lead engineer for the Palm Pilot, a pioneering handheld device.
"However Charles Huang, also a co-founder, will not move to Google and will retain the rights to the Green Throttle Games brand."
Game on for Google then.
