Kojima to Fans: "Betrayal" Can Be A Good Thing
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain prologue Ground Zeroes was shown at Tokyo Game Show... for 30 whole minutes - it features Kiefer Sutherland, the new voice of Snake.

Now when something is revealed about a big title, one of two things is going to happen; fans will love it, or they'll criticize it. Now, a bunch of the feedback from the prologue release aims towards "y av u changed voice act0r?", and if not that, "y av u changed gam3pl4y?".

Well, Kojima's been on Twitter handing out the answers.

"Unlike those old days where creators devote themselves creating game in the cell, today's game development is more open to public," he posted. "We try to create detailed directions by doing focus test repeatedly w[ith] users from the world.".

"This is one of the intentions founding LA studio," he continued. "Although, you can't expect excitement by providing what all users wished. Betrayal in good way w/i acceptable limits is needed. Because game is entertainment. But as long as it is an interactive, we need to adjust controls & systems reflected to the time we live today.".

Interesting choice of the word "betrayal" there Kojima - we don't expect Metal Gear fans want to be "betrayed", but we understand your meaning - you can't listen to fan feedback 100% or there wouldn't be anything innovative in the gaming market.
