Remember the poor Malaysian student who was beaten up and then robbed of his Sony PSP by people who were apparently helping him during the riots last year? He was called Ashraf Rossli, he'd been in the UK for a month. Well, the thug who beat him up has been found guilty in court.
The inappropriately named 'Beau' Isagba (aged 17) was found guilty of grievous bodily harm on Thursday February 16th at Wood Green crown court in London. He has also had his bail refused.
According to the Police Oracle, "In court, Isagba denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent, an alternative charge of inflicting GBH and robbery. He confessed to stealing (Ashraf Rossli's) bike, claiming he did so because he was tired after committing a string of crimes – he admitted to violent disorder and burglary at a betting shop and a food and wine store before the attack."
Judge Witold Pawlak stated that " "He is facing a long prison sentence. There's no reason I can see that he should remain on bail." Beau will be sentenced on March 9, 2012 - a day after his 18th birthday.
The people accused of being Bad Samaritans and stealing the PSP are up for trial at a later date.
