The birth of the PSP Go has been an eventful one, with retailers
already discounting, as well as stating that the system will be an
outright failure and will negatively impact others entering digital delivery.
Another issue has raised its head now, and that's pricing for the
'snackable' PSP Mini games. With prices being seen as uncompetitive not only with iPhone games but also PSN downloads, murmurings of discontent are mounting to roars.
SCEA's Eric Lempel has explained to
Joystiq that you can't blame Sony for this though.
"As far as pricing goes, the publisher of the title sets the pricing." He also made it clear that if a publisher wants to produce a $1.99 game, they certainly can.
