Samurai Spirits Zero playtest feedback
We brought you news last week that SNK Playmore's latest offering, Samurai Spirits Zero, was heading for playtest at Neo Geo Land in Osaka, Japan on the weekend of the 26th July. Many scoffed at this, given the fact that the game was only announced last week.

However, the playtest did go ahead, and the feedback from those on the ground is positive.

This being the fifth game in the series (discounting the CD-only Samurai Spirits RPG), the essential new characters were shown. They were confirmed as Mina, Rera, Unhi and Kusaregedo.

The rest of the roster reads:

Haohmaru
Ukyo
Nakoruru
Rimururu
Genjuro
Gaira
Hanzo
Galford
Shizumaru
Kagetsu
Suigetsu
Jubei
Tam Tam
Charlotte
Kyoshiro
Basara and Rera
Rasetsumaru
Suija
Enja

The game does indeed run on the ancient Neo Geo MVS arcade platform and uses, from what we can gather, the basic Samurai Spirits 4 game mechanic. However, a variant has been added, dubbed by our Japanese friends as a "mediation move". When activated, this move replenishes energy and ups the rage meter, or super bar.

We hope to bring you fresh info and some official screenshots soon.
