style='font-size:15.0pt'>As well as defining new standards in consoles and
gaming, Dreamcast also introduces radical new features that will change home
gaming forever.

The Online Connection
Multiplayer gaming and more – a
first for consoles
Dreamcast will
have the ability to connect to the internet and open up a whole new world for
the home console owner. With a Dreamcast connected to their TV and phone
socket, owners will be able to go online and engage in multiplayer games –
several people from across the country all playing the same game against each
other at the same time. This will bring a new depth to console gaming and will
begin building new online friendships. If you choose, Dreamcasting will be a
truly community pursuit rather than a solitary occupation.
Dreamcast will
also be able to offer easy home internet access through your television.
The Visual Memory
The Visual
Memory unit or VM is a separate games unit that can plug into a Dreamcast
controller or be used on its own.
The VM can:
§style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>
save game
information and scores so you can take them with you
§style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>
be used
during game play to change game options without other players seeing – football
formations etc.
§style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>
be used as a
clock and calendar
§style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'>
